Omicron Phi Zeta Chapter was chartered on March 26, 1994, in Washington, DC with 31 distinguished, committed women. Since its inception, the chapter has more than tripled in size. Over the past 28 years, our chapter members have provided monetary and voluntary support to a variety of causes and organizations throughout the Washington, DC metropolitan area such as Thrive DC, We Feed Our People and Stoddard House Senior Services. Nationally, we have supported organizations like March of Dimes, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, and American Cancer Society, just to name a few. Omicron Phi Zeta members continue to let their Zeta light shine by holding various leadership positions in their professional lives and within the sisterhood. Within the chapter, there is a past International Third Vice President, a past National Executive Director, Eastern Region Chaplain and an Eastern Region Parliamentarian, past Eastern Region Youth Coordinator, past Eastern Region Undergraduate Coordinator, and 3 past-DC State Directors. Omicron Phi Zeta is an award winning chapter and is the recipient of numerous awards for its commitment to community service projects, involvement with its youth auxiliary and undergraduate chapter.
